What do you do with leftover beat-up pencil crayons from last year?

i have a bunch of beat up pencil crayong from grade 7. what can i do with these... besides throwing them out.

    Idea 1

    Grate them up. Then make a design on wax paper with the flakes. Place another piece of wax paper on top and then melt the crayon flakes with an iron. When it cools cut out some shapes and make sun catchers or make a mat for a photo.

    Idea 2
    If there are several of one color melt them together and pour into soap molds to make new crayons.
